Xylometazoline HCl a direct acting sympathomimetic adrenergic α-agonist, used to improve symptoms of nasal congestion, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis with elimination half-life‎ of ‎>10 seconds.

Xylometazoline HCl 生物活性

描述 Xylometazoline hydrochloride is used as nasal mucosa decongesting α-adrenoceptor agonists during a common cold[2]. Xylometazoline is an effective and well-tolerated decongestant nasal spray that significantly relieved nasal congestion compared with placebo in the common cold and provided long-lasting relief with just 1 spray, helping patients to breathe more easily for a longer period of time[3]. Using the decongestant efficacy provided by xylometazoline HCl(Hydrochloride) and the effectiveness to reduce viral infection accomplished by iota-carrageenan can combine into a new product[4].
