描述 | Tannins (commonly referred to as tannic acid) are water-soluble polyphenols that are present in many plant foods. They have been reported to be responsible for decreases in feed intake, growth rate, feed efficiency, net metabolizable energy, and protein digestibility in experimental animals. |
体内研究 | During treatment, tannic acid significantly improves the symptoms observed in AD (atopic dermatitis) skin lesions. It reduces the dermal changes in AD mice compared to those seen in vehicle-treated mice. Additionally, tannic acid treatment enhances the expression of PPARγ in skin sections affected by AD. While vehicle treatment suppresses PPARγ protein expression, tannic acid markedly increases it. Moreover, protein expressions of IL-1β, TNFα, TNFR1, and COX2 are significantly elevated in vehicle-treated AD mice but are considerably reduced following tannic acid treatment[2]. |
