cis-Anethol 生物活性

描述

Anethole, existing in fennel, is a major component of foeniculum vulgare (fennel) essential oil, widely used in folk medicine^[1]. In vitro studies, it was found that anethole could inhibit the proliferation, growth and migration of PC-3 cells^[1]. In addition, anethole also has the ability of suppressing the adipogenic differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) through regulating activities of specific enzymes^[2]. In vivo studies, anethole contributed to the improvement of neuropathic pain in mice induced by chronic constriction injury (CCI) ^[3]. Besides this, anethole could also reduce inflammation and the level of cytokines and nitric oxide in rats with adjuvant-induced arthritis^[1].
