描述 | Tetracycline (hydrochloride) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, exhibiting activity against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The obtained lifetime for pheophytin formed during chlorophyll reaction - with tetracycline hydrochloride was τ = 5.71 ± 0.02 ns. The experiment demonstrated two mechanisms of chlorophyll degradation to pheophytin by tetracycline hydrochloride, i.e. 1) loss of Mg2+ ions from the chlorophyll molecule as a result of the presence of H+ ions in solution (i.e. as a result of medium acidification), and 2) removal of Mg2+ ions directly from chlorophyll by tetracycline which binds Mg2+ ions from the chlorophyll[3]. Moreover, polyethyleneimine (PEI) modified GO as a tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH) carrier and release platform was constructed (pGO-TCH), pGO-TCH nanostructures exhibit good antibacterial behavior[4]. |
