PTP1B-IN-4 is a non-competitive allosteric inhibitor for the enzyme protein tyrosine phosphatase PTP1B, exhibiting an inhibitory concentration (IC50) value of 8 μM. This compound is considered promising for studies related to obesity and diabetes^[1].^[2].

体外研究

When administered at a concentration of 250 μM for a duration of 1 hour, PTP1B-IN-4 enhances the phosphorylation of the insulin receptor (IR) in CHO cells that have been genetically modified to overexpress the human version of IR^[1].

Additionally, PTP1B-IN-4 promotes the phosphorylation of IRS-1 and Akt, which are proteins activated downstream of the insulin receptor^[1].
