3,4-Dihydroxybenzeneacetic acid 生物活性

描述 3, 4-Dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC) is a phenolic acid with strong anti-oxidative activity. DOPAC and 3-hydroxyphenylacetic acid (3-HPAA) are intestinal metabolites of the dietary flavonoid quercetin. DOPAC reportedly showed anxiolytic activity after i.p. administration in rats[2]. DOPAC is one of the major colonic microflora-produced catabolites of quercetin glycosides, such as quercetin 4'-glucoside derived from onion. DOPAC was shown to enhance not only the total ALDH activity, but also the gene expression of ALDH1A1, ALDH2 and ALDH3A1 in a concentration-dependent manner. DOPAC simultaneously stimulated the nuclear translocation of NFE2-related factor 2 and aryl hydrocarbon receptor. The pretreatment of DOPAC completely protected the cells from the acetaldehyde-induced cytotoxicity[3]. Protocatechuic acid and DOPAC inhibited the formation of Amadori compounds, fluorescent AGEs (IC50 = 62.1 ± 1.4 and 155.4 ± 1.1 μM, respectively), and Nε-(carboxymethyl)lysine (IC50 = 535.3 ± 1.1 and 751.2 ± 1.0 μM, respectively)[4].
