PROTACs are composed of two unique ligands linked together; one targets an E3 ubiquitin ligase, and the other specifically binds to the protein intended for degradation. Through this configuration, PROTACs utilize the cellular ubiquitin-proteasome pathway to selectively dismantle undesired proteins within the cell[1].
