Mephenytoin 生物活性

描述

Mephenytoin, an anticonvulsant drug, functions as a substrate for the enzymes CYP2C19 and CYP2B6, which are involved in drug metabolism^[1].

体内研究

When administered orally to pregnant Sprague-Dawley CD rats at doses of 100 mg/kg and 200 mg/kg, Mephenytoin reduces maternal weight gain and increases offspring mortality at the higher dose of 200 mg/kg, whereas it does not cause significant offspring mortality at 100 mg/kg^[2].

Mephenytoin, administered intraperitoneally at a dosage of 20 mg/kg per day for 16 days, significantly reduces serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels in mice, indicating a potential hypolipidemic effect^[3].
