ML406 生物活性

描述

BioA (7, 8-diaminopelargonic acid (DAPA) synthase) catalyzes the reversible transamination between KAPA and DAPA, the second-to-last step of biotin synthesis in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB). ML406 is a small molecule probe that exhibits antituberculous activity by inhibiting BioA with an IC₅₀ of 30 nM. ML406 has an IC₅₀ of 155 nM and an EC₅₀ of 9.3 μM with best cellular activity tested in a TB strain with limited biotin formation relative to wild type confirming mechanism of action^[1].
