Isovanillin 生物活性

描述

Isovanicaline widely exist in many plants, such as Pycnocycla spinosa. P^[1]. In vitro studies, isovanicaline, combined with curcumin and harmine, could suppress the proliferation of head and neck squamous cells by inhibiting the signaling pathway of EGFR, ERK1/2, and AKT^[2]. In vivo studies, it was found that the extract of arum palaestinum, containing high level of isovanicaline, had the ability of inhibiting the cell proliferation of xenografted prostate tumors in mice, while without signs of toxicity for non-cancer tissue^[3]. Besides this, isovanicaline could contribute to the detention of onset of diarrhoea and the reduction of wet defecation induced by castor oil and MgSO4 in mice^[1].
