描述 6-Maleimidohexanoic acid N-hydroxysuccinimide ester (EMCS) is a heterobifunctional cross-linking reagent. It is widely used for the preparation of hapten conjugate and enzyme immunoconjugates, demonstrating its utility in biomedical research and diagnostic applications[1].

This cross-linker is also employed to couple peptides, which are then conjugated to the adenovirus vector containing the luciferase gene, serving as a carrier for this gene delivery system[1].
