2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid 生物活性

描述

Gentisic acid (GA), a natural compound, widely exists in many plants and have many biological activities, such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic activities^[1]. In vitro studies, it was found that gentisic acid had no cytotoxicity, but had antimutagenic activity at special concentration on HTC cells^[1]. Besides this, gentisic acid could also protect rat liver mitochondria (RLM) and human erythrocytes against the oxidation and radiation^[2]. In vivo studies, it was observed that gentisic acid had the ability of improving the cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis in mice through inhibiting ERK1/2 pathway, when given 100 mg/kg/d for 3 weeks^[3].
