描述

1-Hexadecanol is a fatty alcohol that acts as a lipophilic substrate and is utilized in the study of ferroptosis^[1].^[2].

体外研究

When treated with 1-Hexadecanol (20 μM, 12 h), HT1080 cells exhibit an increased level of lipid peroxidation^[2].

Additionally, 1-Hexadecanol at a concentration of 10 μM for 12 hours heightens the sensitivity of FAR1 KO HT1080 cells to ferroptosis^[2].

However, 1-Hexadecanol (20 μM, 12 h) shows no impact on RSL3-induced ferroptosis in HT1080 cells expressing GNPAT or AGPS shRNA^[2].
