L-Carnitine HCl 生物活性

描述 L-Carnitine hydrochloride ((R)-Carnitine hydrochloride) is a highly polar, small zwitterion essential as a cofactor in the mitochondrial β-oxidation pathway. It facilitates the transport of long-chain fatty acyl-CoAs into the mitochondria for degradation by β-oxidation. Moreover, L-Carnitine hydrochloride serves as an antioxidant and has been shown to ameliorate metabolic imbalances in various inborn errors of metabolism[1].[2].[3].
体内研究

In a chronic murine asthma model, L-Carnitine hydrochloride administered intraperitoneally (i.p.) at doses of 125 and 250 mg/kg exhibits a pronounced bronchodilator effect and reduces urinary LTE4 excretion[2].
