Toltrazuril (sulfone) 生物活性

描述 Toltrazuril sulfone, a derivative of Toltrazuril, exhibits antiprotozoal properties. This triazine anticoccidial agent is formulated for the prevention of coccidiosis in poultry[1].[2].
体内研究

Administered orally at doses between 10-20 mg/kg daily for a span of 10 days, Ponazuril proves efficacious in both preventing and treating toxoplasmosis in mice[2].
体外研究

Toltrazuril sulfone effectively halts the growth of S. neurona merozoites. Additionally, Ponazuril disrupts the growth of N. caninum approximately 48 hours after exposure[1].

Toltrazuril sulfone exhibits inhibitory possibly by targeting different enzyme/enzyme systems in different apicomplexans[1].

At a concentration of 5 mg/ml over 20 hours, Ponazuril suppresses the replication of T. gondii following endodyogenic second division[2].
