描述 (-)-Myrtenal is an orally active terpene with antitumour activity. (-)-Myrtenal enhances GLUT2 in skeletal muscle and liver of diabetic rats via Akt, thereby ameliorating hyperglycaemic symptoms[1][2].Acting at concentrations of 0.1-5 mM for 24 h, (-)-Myrtenal has a strong cytotoxic effect on HT29 cells and CCD 841 CoTr cells with an IC50 value of 5.3 mM[1].
