描述 YM-750 is a potent ACAT inhibitor with an IC50 value of 0.18 μM. ACAT catalyses the formation of cholesterol esters from cholesterol and long-chain fatty acyl coenzyme A[1][2].In the absence of Cu2+ and in the presence of acLDL, esterified cholesterol accumulates in foam cells for up to 24 hours, and YM-750 inhibits this accumulation[3].
