描述 | 4E2RCat obstructs the binding between eIF4E, the cap-binding element, and eIF4G, the extensive scaffolding molecule, thereby halting cap-dependent translation. This compound notably curtails the replication of HCoV-229E, leading to a reduction in both the proportion of cells infected and the titers of infectious virus inside and outside the cells. The inhibition of cap-dependent translation by 4E2RCat is contingent on the dosage. While it impedes cap-dependent FF translation, it does not affect EMCV IRES-mediated Ren translation. The suppression of coronavirus replication by 4E2RCat is influenced by both the concentration and duration of exposure[1]. |
