描述 NSC232003 is a uracil derivative that can be used as a versatile lead compound for the development of UHRF1 inhibitors that can be used to analyse DNA methylation genetically.NSC232003 can be used as a potent DNA methylation inhibitor. NSC232003 was predicted to partially deprotonate the more acidic imide nitrogen on the pyrimidine ring at pH 7.6. After incubating U251 glioma cells with NSC232003 for 4 h, the interaction of DNMT1/UHRF1 was significantly attenuated, with 50% inhibition of the interaction at 15 μM, and DNMT1/UHRF1 induced global DNA cytosine deprotonation, as determined by ELISA [1].
