描述 Benazepril, an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor, which is a medication used to treat high blood pressure. Benazepril conferred substantial renal benefits in patients without diabetes who had advanced renal insufficiency[3]. When the similar SBP (Systolic blood pressure) reduction, RAAS (renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system) inhibition and clock gene profile were achieved with optimal dose of benazepril, morning versus evening dosing of benazepril has the same renoprotection effects[4]. 0.25-0.5 mg/kg benazepril administered BID produced noninferior inhibition of serum ACE activity compared to 0.5-1.0 mg/kg benazepril dosed SID[5]. The combination use of leflunomide and benazepril could improve the renal function and reduce the renal injury of DN (diabetic nephropathy) rats and could reduce the levels of NF-κb, TGF-β and TRPC6 in both DN rats and high-glucose induced RMCs (rat glomerular mesangial cells)[6].
