描述 Ibuprofen Lysine is a widely used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that exerts analgesic and anti-inflammatory actions. Ibuprofen Lysine is a continuous infusion instead of a traditional bolus for treating Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). Ibuprofen lysine was stable over 24 hours in Luer-lok polypropylene syringes[3]. The mechanism of action for both indomethacin and ibuprofen lysine is through inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, resulting in ductal constriction. Ibuprofen lysine has demonstrated significantly less effects on cerebral, renal, and mesenteric blood flow in premature neonates when compared with indomethacin[4]. The positive effects of Hyal 50% on chondral lesions were maintained in the presence of ibuprofen-lysine with the adjunctive effect of an increased limb usage, most likely due to less pain and discomfort[5].
