描述 Chlorhexidine digluconate, a chlorophenyl biguanide, exhibits broad antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as fungi. It serves as a broad-spectrum antiseptic and disinfectant, effectively preventing and controlling infectious diseases in the oral cavity by eliminating bacteria present in saliva and on the tongue. Additionally, chlorhexidine digluconate acts as a cytotoxic agent, inducing both cell necrosis and apoptosis[1].[2].[3].
