描述 | Histamine (phosphate) is an endogenous biogenic amine that is synthesized from the basic amino acid histidine. The intraperitoneally injection histamine increases the MCD (Mast cell density) and induces the neuronal hypertrophy and after the comparison of the organs in the gastrointestinal tract the results indicated the most effected organ as the appendices[3]. Intravenous injection of histamine phosphate could simulate Beagle dogs to bring typical clinical anaphylactoid reaction, that could be used as a sensitive animal model to evaluate anaphylactoid reaction of traditional Chinese medicine injections (TCMIs) in the pre-clinical experiments of both TCMIs and their composition[4]. Histamine base in doses of 0.5 - 2.0 mg/rat induced a significant hypocalcemic response 30 min postinjection which returned to baseline by 60 min. Likewise, the administration of 1.375 mg/rat of histamine phosphate (equivalent to 0.5 mg histamine base) also resulted in a significant fall in serum calcium concentration. In the rat the administration of histamine results in a hypocalcemic response similar to that previously observed with gastrin[5]. Moreover, histamine has a cumulative bronchoconstrictor effect if inhaled at five minute intervals once appreciable bronchoconstriction has been reached[6]. |
