生物活性
描述 Methylene blue (Basic Blue 9) inhibits guanylyl cyclase (sGC), monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A), and NO synthase (NOS). It acts as a vasopressor and is commonly used as a medical dye. Methylene blue impacts the nitric oxide synthase/guanylate cyclase signaling pathway to modulate prepulse inhibition and is a REDOX cycling compound that can cross the blood-brain barrier. Additionally, it inhibits Tau aggregation and is known to reduce cerebral edema, attenuate microglial activation, and lessen neuroinflammation[1][2][3].
