描述 Rebamipide, an antiulcer agent, prevents vaious acute experimental gastric mucosal lesions and accelerates the healing of chronic ulcers. Rebamipide has cytoprotective actions in human and animals. It increases PG levels in gastric tissue and protects gastric mucosa from various insults[3]. Rebamipide (10-100 mg/kg i.p.) inhibited dose dependently the formation of gastric lesions induced by necrotizing agent and caused no injury and increased PAS-positive materials in the gastric epithrlial[4]. Treatment of gastric cancer cells with varying doses of rebamipide (0.5-2.0 mg/mL) caused a significant decrease in cell proliferation in a concentration-dependent manner and rebamipide significantly suppressed gastric cancer cell proliferation up to 71% at 24hr[5].
