| 描述 | Fusidic acid as well as its sodium salt (Fusidic Acid Sodium), fusidin, is a relatively atoxic antibiotic used mainly in the treatment of staphylococcal infections. The drug has shown promise in preventing the disease in animal models of IDDM (Insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus) and in a preliminary trial in IDDM patients[3]. Fusidic acid (Fusidic Acid Sodium), a steroidal antibiotic, possesses antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. Fusidic acid can protect C6 glial cells against cytotoxicity, through the regulation of AMPK (adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase) pathway and apoptotic events[4]. Fusidic acid sodium salt (fusidic acid or FA) as an inhibitor of PRPK (p53-related protein kinase), and show that FA combined with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) inhibited PRPK activity and colon cancer metastasis to the lung in mice[5]. Fusidic acid was potent (MICs, 0.125 to 0.5 μg/ml; a single 500-mg dose of fusidic acid at 8 h averaged 8 to 12. 5 μg/ml with 91 to 97% protein binding) against all MRSA(methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) strains[6]. | ||
