描述 Ch55 is a potent synthetic retinoic acid that binds with high affinity to RAR-α and RAR-β receptors, and has a low affinity for CRABP. Ch55 is effective in inducing differentiation of HL60 cells with an EC50 value of 200 nM[1][2].Ch55 inhibits squamous cell differentiation in rabbit tracheal epithelial cells by inhibiting type I transglutaminase activity (EC50 = 0.02 nM) and increasing cholesterol sulphate levels (EC50 = 0.03 nM). Ch55 also induces differentiation of embryonal carcinoma F9 cells and melanoma S91 cells with EC50 of 0.26 and 0.5 nM, respectively, and inhibits the induction of ornithine decarboxylase activity in 3T6 fibroblasts (EC50 = 1 nM) [1].
