描述 | Ammonium glycyrrhizinate, a natural constituent of the licorice root that inhibits growth and cytopathology of several unrelated DNA and RNA viruses. A short-repeated treatment with ammonium glycyrrhizinate was able to attenuate neuropathic hyperalgesia in streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice. Ammonium glycyrrhizinate could ameliorate diabetic peripheral neuropathy, counteracting both in vitro and in vivo effects induced by high glucose, and might represent a complementary medicine for the clinical management of diabetic peripheral neuropathy[3]. Ammonium glycyrrhizinate (50, 100, 200 mg/kg, p.o.) is effective in controlling serum lipid profile and cardiac complications in experimentally induced cardiomyopathy in animals[4]. CAG (compound ammonium glycyrrhizin) as a potential therapeutic agent to counteract LPS/AC(lipopolysaccharide/amoxicillin clavulanate potassium)-induced liver injury[5]. LPS/ENR(Lipopolysaccharide/enrofloxacin)-treated hepatocytes were damaged via apoptotic signaling pathways and CAG prevented LPS/ENR-induced hepatocyte injury[6]. |
