描述 Ergosterol is a membrane sterol, the specific molecule content was directly proportional to the mold size and species, over that linked to the different rates of biosynthesis among the diverse strains. The ergosterol amount in yeasts ranged from 1.37 × 101 to 7.63 × 102 pg/CFU[2].The strong interactions between the ergosterol and phospholipid molecules and the increase of the 2D domain condensation induced by the sterol presence should hamper the PLA2 activity. The level of ergosterol content in fungal membrane has crucial importance for its structure at the molecular scale[3].
