生物活性
描述 Vitamin K1 a fat-soluble, naturally occurring vitamin required for blood coagulation and bone and vascular metabolism. Vitamin K1 treatment caused a significant antiproliferative effect and induced apoptosis in all the cell lines, with the involvement of the MAPK pathway. A significant polyamine decrease in addition to the antiproliferative and proapoptotic effects following vitamin K1 administration to colon cancer cell lines[1]. Vitamin K1 strengthens coagulation as measured by PT decrease and increases in the activity of vitamin K-dependent clotting factors and thrombin generation[2]. Maternal vitamin K supplementation increases milk vitamin K levels and can improve vitamin K status in breastfed infants who receive intramuscular vitamin K shortly after birth[3].
