描述 MP-A08 functions by impeding pro-proliferative signaling pathways and triggers mitochondrial-associated apoptosis specifically through sphingosine kinase (SK) dependency. It effectively reduces the growth of human lung adenocarcinoma tumors in a mouse xenograft model by both inducing tumor cell apoptosis and inhibiting tumor angiogenesis. MP-A08's inhibition of SphK2 leads to a diminished endothelial cell (EC) barrier integrity in vitro across various cell types[2].
