描述 | Xylan is the major hemicellulose component of secondary cell walls in flowering plants. Xylan is a polysaccharide composed of xylose, which, like cellulose, contains predominantly linked β-D-xylose units[1].Xylan is a major plant polysaccharide found in the secondary walls of trachea and fibres as well as in the primary walls of parenchyma cells in gramineous plants. It is composed of linear chains of β-1,4-linked xylosyl residues that are usually decorated with 2-O-linked glucuronic acid (GlcA)/methylated glucuronic acid (MeGlcA)[2]. |
