描述 | Tridecanoic Acid is an endogenous metabolite and belongs to the class of organic compounds known as long-chain fatty acids. The product distribution of tridecanoic, tetradecanoic and pentadecanoic acid oxidation by Krac9955 favoured oxidation at the ω-4, ω-5 and ω-6 positions, respectively. Krac9955 preferably oxidised shorter fatty acids compared to Krac0936 with tridecanoic having the highest levels of product formation[1]. CYP505A30 (cytochrome P450/P450 reductase fusion enzyme) binds straight chain fatty acids (from ∼C10 to C20), with highest affinity for tridecanoic acid (KD = 2.7 μM) [2]. The fatty acids on mouse renin were partially exchangeable with free tridecanoic acid in solution, with the tridecanoic acid truly exchanged and not just adsorbed in addition to the fatty acids already present[3]. Tridecanoic acid (C13) showed attractance only at 10(-4) g dose while higher doses caused repellence. The identification of odoriferous acids (Tridecanoic acid) acts as potential attractants, repellents, or attraction inhibitors[4]. |
