描述 Prolyl endopeptidases (PEPs) are a unique class of serine proteases with considerable therapeutic potential for the treatment of celiac sprue. Prolylendopeptidase Inhibitori 1 is a potent and specific inhibitor of prolyI endopeptidease (Ki= 15nM). In vivo experiment, rat (1mumole/animal i.p.) were observed in the effect of inhibitors on the brain enzyme activities: most active in mesencephalon, followed by striatum, cerebellum, hippocampus, hypothalamus; and inactive in cerebral cortex and medulla oblongata([1].
