描述 | Angiotensin II human (Angiotensin II), a major bioactive peptide of the renin/angiotensin system, plays a central role in regulating human blood pressure, mainly through interactions with the G-protein-coupled receptors Angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R) and Angiotensin II type 2 receptor (AT2R). It stimulates sympathetic nervous activity, increases aldosterone biosynthesis and renal actions, and induces growth in vascular smooth muscle cells. It also increases collagen synthesis in fibroblasts, leading to thickening of the vascular wall and myocardium, and promotes fibrosis and apoptosis. Angiotensin II human acetate stimulates capillary formation from endothelial cells through a LOX-1 dependent redox-sensitive pathway [1][2][3][4]. |
