描述 | Isoquercitrin (Isoquercitroside) is an effective antioxidant and an eosinophilic inflammation suppressor. 10 μM of Isoquercitrin of the seven compounds (myricitrin, isoquercitrin, hypoletin-7-O-β-D-xylopyranoside, quercitrin, kaempferin, kaempferol, and amentoflavone) partially but significantly blunt the negative effect of H2O2 on RGC-5 cells, as the viability of cells in the presence of H2O2 is increased from approximately 63% to 83% and 90% at 10 and 50 μM, respectively. Indeed, 50 μM Isoquercitrin is more effective as a neuroprotectant than the same concentration of EGCG. Furthermore, isoquercitrin potently attenuated the lipid peroxidation of rat brain homogenates initiated by nitric oxide, with an IC(50) value of 1.04 μM[3]. Isoquercitrin was effective in alleviating soleus muscle mass loss following denervation in a dose-dependent manner (the optimal protective effect at 20 mg/kg/d). Isoquercitrin may alleviate soleus muscle atrophy and mitophagy and reverse the slow-to-fast fiber type conversion following denervation via inhibition of oxidative stress and inflammatory response[4]. Treatment with ISO (Isoquercitrin) largely rescues STZ(streptozotocin)-induced differentiation inhibition and enhances neurite outgrowth of Neuro2a (N2a) cells in vitro. Moreover, oral administration of ISO protects hippocampal neurons from STZ-induced neurotoxicity and significantly improves the cognitive and behavioural impairment in STZ-induced AD rats[5]. Isoquercitrin is also effective eosinophilic inflammation suppressors, suggesting a potential for treating allergies[6]. |
