描述 Sulfabenzamide is a intermediate in the synthesis of organic and pharmaceutical. Sulfabenzamide metal complexes were active against Gram-positive and negative bacterial strains. Sulfabenzamide complexes exhibited related MIC values from 1.000 to 2.000 g ml-1[1]. Sulfonamide compounds enhanced the avirulent Pseudomonas-induced cell death of Arabidopsis suspension cell cultures and increased disease resistance in Arabidopsis plants against both avirulent and virulent strains of the bacterium. In addition, although sulfonamides are known to be folate biosynthesis inhibitors, the application of folate did not restore the potentiation effects of the sulfonamides on pathogen-induced cell death[2].
