描述 Burchellin, a natural product isolated and purified from the herbs of Ocotea cymbarum. with larvicidal activity, can interfer with the development cycle of the mosquito, where its strongest toxic effect is 100% mortality in larvae (L3) at concentrations ≥ 30 ppm, and has activity against Trypanosoma cruzi, by inducing trypomastigote death with IC(50)/24 h of 520 mM and 960 mM, respectively.
