描述 (+)-4-Cholesten-3-one is an intermediate oxidation product of cholesterol and is metabolised mainly in the liver. (+)-4-Cholesten-3-one is highly mobile in membranes and can interfere with cholesterol turnover and efflux. (+)-4-Cholesten-3-one may cause long-term cellular functional defects[1][2].
