描述 | Cryptochlorogenic acid is a natural product isolated and purified from the flowerbud of Lonicera japonica Thunb, showing antioxidant activity. The blood glucose level, iron content, accumulation of lipid peroxides and islet injury in diabetic model were all improved by CCA (Cryptochlorogenic Acid) via a concentration-dependent manner. CCA functions via inhibition of ferroptosis by activation of cystine/glutamate transporter system (XC-)/glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)/Nrf2 and inhibition of nuclear receptor coactivator 4 (NCOA4) in diabetes[3]. CCGA (Cryptochlorogenic Acid) dose-dependently inhibited LPS-induced production of NO, TNF-α, and IL-6 and blocked iNOS, COX-2, TNF-α, and IL-6 expressions. CCGA also significantly increased the GSH/GSSG ratio and SOD activity and reduced the MDA level. Moreover, CCGA suppressed the nuclear translocation of NF-κB by hindering the phosphorylation of IκB kinase (IKK) and degrading IκB. It also downregulated the phosphorylation of MAPKs[4]. |
