描述 Nicotinic acid, a broad-spectrum lipid agent, could be used against cardiovascular disease [1] . In vitro studies, it was found that nicotinic acid contributed to the secretion of prostaglandin D2 in human macrophages [1] . Besides this, 10-5 M nicotinic acid could also help the synthesis of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide in the presence of glutamine in ascites cells [2] . In vivo studies, nicotinic acid could stimulate the myelination and increase the ratio of long chain fatty acid (C20-23/C14-18) in weanling rats [3] .
