生物活性
描述 beta-Amyrone has anti-inflammatory activity. α,β-amyrin was able to inhibit the production of TNF-α (52.03 ± 2.4%). α,β-Amyrone inhibited the expression of COX-2 and also inhibited the formation of paw or ear edema in rats and mice, having a quick and immediate effect[2]. The crude methanol and the soluble ethyl acetate fractions of B. papyrifera showed some antifungal activity. The Gas-Liquid-Chromatography hybrid Mass-Spectrophotometer analysis of these two fractions showed the existence of beta-amyrin, beta-amyrone, beta-Sitosterol and stigmatriene[3]. Saturated long-chain hydrocarbons start to accumulate during leaf extension, whereas the major triterpenol accumulation occurs on full-grown leaves from the end of the first year of development. Minor concentrations of triterpenes are present on very young leaves with β-amyrin and β-amyrone as major components instead of the corresponding α-compounds[4].
