描述 | Isochlorogenic acid B (ICAB), naturally isolated from Laggera alata, and has antioxidative and hepatoprotective properties. ICAB significantly improved the pathological lesions of liver fibrosis. ICAB had a significant protective effect on fibrosis in NASH (non-alcoholic steatohepatitis) by inhibiting oxidative stress via Nrf2 and suppressing multiple profibrogenic factors through miR-122/HIF-1α signalling pathway[3]. Isochlorogenic Acid B (3,4-Dicaffeoylquinic Acid) is a polyphenol with diverse biological activities, it inhibits acetylcholinesterase (ACE) and α-glucosidase in a concentration-dependent manner, shows cytotoxic to NCI-H23 lung adenocarcinoma cells (EC50 3.26 μg/ml), as well as increases tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis inducing ligand (TRAIL) mRNA, reduces influenza H1N1 hemagglutinin (HA) mRNA and increases survival in a mouse model of influenza A infection. 3,4-Dicaffeoylquinic acid also displays a concentration-dependent α-glucosidase inhibition with EC50 241.80 μg/ml[4]. ITPL contained the following seven compounds: neochlorogenic acid, cryptochlorogenic acid, rutin, kaempferin, isochlorogenic acid B, isochlorogenic acid A, and hesperidin. The pathological observations show that ITPL reduced the oxidative damage of the liver and spleen in mice induced with D-galactose. ITPL had beneficial preventive effects on the oxidative damage caused by D-galactose in mice and was more effective as an antioxidant than vitamin C[5]. |
