描述 | Asperosaponin VI (ASA VI), a saponin component from Dipsacus asper wall. ASA VI exhibited a significant induction of proliferation, differentiation and mineralization in MC3T3-E1 and primary osteoblastic cells. ASA VI may induce differentiation by increasing the activity of p38 and ERK1/2[3]. ASA VI significantly attenuated increased LDH (lactate dehydrogenase) and CK (creatine phosphokinase) activities, and increased cell viability in hypoxia treated myocytes in a dose-dependent fashion. ASA VI treatment inhibited apoptosis in hypoxia-induced cardiomyocyte by increasing the Bcl-2/Bax ratio and decreasing active caspase-3 expression, as well as enhancing of p-Akt and p-CREB( cAMP response element-binding protein)[4]. ASA VI promoted the proliferation of OVX rBMSCs and enhanced ALP activity and calcified nodule formation. ASA VI promotes the osteogenic differentiation of OVX rBMSCs (osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow stromal cells) by acting on the phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase/AKT signaling pathway[5]. |
