描述 Imazalil is a widely used chiral fungicide. The fungicide imazalil is a chiral compound with one R- and one S-enantiomer. Imazalil have been shown to synergize the effect of pyrethroid insecticides like α-cypermethrin through inhibition of cytochrome P450 monooxygenase responsible for pyrethroid detoxification. The R- and S-imazalil enantiomers increased α-cypermethrin toxicity from an EC50 of 1580 ± 980 pmol/L to an EC50 of 83 ± 10 pmol/L and 53 ± 8 pmol/L, respectively[3]. However, R-(-)-imazalil was 1.21 times more toxic than S-(+)-imazalil to D. rerio. High-effective S-(+)-imazalil preferentially enriched in leaf and fruit of tomato and cucumber, and no enantioselective degradation was found in soil[4]. Imazalil can accumulate in the body and threaten an animal's health. And Imazalil induced oxidative stress and caused the disorders of bile acid metabolism in mice. Chronic Imazalil exposure could induce hepatotoxicity in mice at the physiological, biochemical, and transcriptome levels[5].
